Erna Nook Jackson was a female Canadian Impressionist artist, born in Petrolia, Ontario in 1886. She was active in Toronto (living at 19 Oaklands Avenue) between from the 1920s to the 1940s, and exhibited at The Royal Canadian Academy of Arts, Ontario Society of Artists, Arts & Letters Club of Toronto, and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts throughout the 1920s-40s. She worked primarily in oils and painted impressionist style landscapes en plein air in Quebec, Ontario and Vancouver Island. An early female Canadian Impressionist whose works are exceeding rare on the art market.
