Description
Of extremely rare altar/offering bowl 'tazza' form, modelled as a shallow dish with angular sides raised on an elegantly flaring wide foot. The central panel decorated in underglaze cobalt blue, iron-red and green enamel with a rocky landscape featuring a peasant boy carrying bundles of brushwood beneath an ancient pine tree, encircled by an iron-red and underglaze blue ring to the cavetto, enclosed by a patterned border with four floral reserves on the steeply sloped sides, the quatrefoil rim dressed with iron-oxide brown enamel.
Condition
In superb original condition with no damage or restoration.
