Ruelle bruxelloise animée

Dated 1918

Oil on canvas in original giltwood frame.

Measurements: 56.5 cm x 38 cm

Trained at the Brussels Academy with Herman Richir and Constant Montald. Known in particular for his landscapes, views of cities and rivers, and interiors. Twenty years spent in Blankenberge explain his predilection for seascapes and harbor views and his interest in the eternal play of the sea and the clouds, the solitude of a boom, the bustle in the port.
